Philosophy
제오 건축사사무소는 형태와 기능에 대한 지속적 관심과 연구를 통해 공간을 창출하고, 그러한 작업의 구축을 통해, 건축의 스펙트럼을 넓혀가고자 한다. 시대상에 반응하는 공간을 계획하고, 재료의 물성과 상세연구를 통해 계획의 실체화에 이르는 전 과정으로서의 건축을 추구하고 있으며, 이러한 방향성 아래 2021년 초, 자체 시공사인 프레임워크 종합건설을 설립하였다. 주요작품으로 오조리 빌레꼿, 신사재, 역삼동 은행나무, 합정동 근생 리노베이션, 제주 큰바다영 갤러리 등이 있다.
Jeoh Architects intends to create space through continuous interest and research on form and function, and aim to expand the spectrum of architecture through the construction of such work. Jeoh plans a space that responds to the times and pursues architecture as a whole process that leads to the actualization of the plan through detailed research on the physical properties of materials, and in early 2021, Jeoh established its own construction company, Framework Construction. Jeoh’s major works include Ojori Ville Cot (Jeju residence), Sinsajae, Yeoksam Commercial renovation, Jeju gallery house and so on.

오현일 소장은 고려대학교와 뉴욕 컬럼비아대학교에서 건축을 수학하였다. 국제건축사연맹(UIA) 공모전 등 다수의 국제공모전에서 수상하였으며, 네덜란드의 OMA와 UNStudio, 한국에서는 삼우종합건축사사무소 등에서 실무경험을 쌓았다. 연세대학교 겸임교수이며, 제오 건축사사무소와 함께 프레임워크 종합건설을 이끌고 있다.
Hyunil Oh recieved bachelor degree of Architectural Engineering at Korea University in Seoul, Korea and his master degree of Architecture in Columbia University. He gained several awards such as UIA. He practiced in OMA, UNStudio, Samoo Architects&Engineers. Currently he is an adjunct professor of architecture at Yonsei University, a public architect of Jeju, CEO of Framework Construction and principal architect of Jeoh Architects.
